If you are interested in requesting an obituary, please fill out our Obituary Request Form. There is a limit of six obituary requests per person per month. Thank you for your interest in this service. Or you may email an obituary request to reference@nileslibrary.net with the following information: name on obituary, approximate month, date, and year of death, and location. We can email you the requested information for free, or send it to you by postal mail for a $2.00 fee. In your email, please let us know if you would prefer to receive the obituary via email or via post. For this we will need your full name, email address, or street address- depending on which option you choose.

TreeClimbers Genealogy Gatherings

Most genealogists find the most valuable research tool is other genealogists. Get started on the journey of uncovering your family history! No experience is required to participate in the TreeClimbers group; beginners are welcome! All of the Niles District Library’s Local History and genealogical materials are available during normal hours of operation.
