11:30 AM Underground Railroad Society of Cass County, MI will be here to speak about the infamous Kentucky Road, local participation in the Underground Railroad, and Bonine House Restoration Project undertaken by their Organization.

 

12:00 PM Taste of Soul: Heritage Recipe Cook Off This is your opportunity to sample some of the best soul food in the area, or to share that special family recipe with an appreciative crowd. Co-hosted by the Niles chapter of the NAACP and the Niles District  Library, we invite you to taste and vote for your favorite. Awards will be given in the categories of Teen, Adult, and best recipe story/history. Entry forms available in the library or at www.nileslibrary.com
