Book a Librarian Service
Need one-on-one personal reference assistance? Whether you need help with your tablet or e-reader, downloading an e-book, using Overdrive, help with finding database and online references that provide business, government, or medical information, learning how to get started with genealogy research, or an in-depth demonstration of how to use the library's databases, we are here to help you! The Book-a-Librarian service allows Niles District Library cardholders to reserve a free one hour session with a member of the Adult Services Team.
You can request this service in one of three ways:

Terms of Service
Sessions are up to one hour. Patrons are allowed one session per week. In most cases sessions need to be scheduled in advance. This service will be provided to patrons who have accounts in good standing (not expired and fines under $2). Subscription card holders are also welcome to utilize this service. Restrictions
We cannot offer advice (except to advise you of reputable sources of evaluative information) or provide data entry for medical, legal, financial, business or personal transactions (contracts, agreements, enrollments, applications, online purchases, travel bookings, etc). Also, we are unable to set up or install software for your personal devices.
